Our initial process of establishing our prototypes comprised of mind mapping out the possibilities that our object could potentially be or portray certain characteristics of. We revolved these ideas around our concept of ‘Brain Optimisation’ and considered aspects of usability, target market, context placement and appearance formations.
After establishing a basic foundation for our ideas, we began sketching and prototyping our objects for a rough indication on how it will look. We then built our concepts one by one starting with a seamless edible object, moving onto physical and wearable objects then touching up on internal membrane like structures that mimic our existing skin cells. Our concept development underwent stages of elimination that allowed us to decipher between each object and identify the elements and characteristics we wanted to keep and remove for our final prototype.
